Price: $13 for 3 tacos

Fish: mahi-mahi (crusted with plantain and blue corn)

Extras: cabbage slaw, chipotle mayonesa (uh oh), pickled onions, green tomato salsa verde

Review: When I saw the description for this taco in the menu, I was steeling myself for a mediocre (if not downright bad) experience. Breaded fish? Chipotle mayonesa? And when the plate came out I was a little disappointed with the size of the tacos.

I am happy to report that I was WRONG. The servings were perfectly balanced little worlds of crunchy and creamy, spicy and smooth. Despite the crema sauce (very judiciously applied, I must say) and the breaded fish (clearly the fish had not been frozen with the breading, thank goodness), I thoroughly enjoyed my taco-eating experience. The tortillas were fresh, but definitely not homemade.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 chickens
