Where: Taqueria Mi Durango 2, South San Francisco (not to be confused with the first Taqueria Mi Durango in San Bruno! I happened to be in South San Francisco so I went here)

Price: $6.99 per taco

Fish: unknown (the menu didn’t say)

Extras: crema, red cabbage, cilantro, with a jalapeño and some radish slices on the side.

The guy at the counter asked if I wanted the tacos with everything so I said yes. Upon reflection, I think I should have been a little less enthusiastic. The tacos were piled high with extras, smothered in crema.

Some might say this is excellent, a good bang for your buck. I, however, wish to eat my tacos with my hands, not a fork. And there was no way I could pick up these monstrosities.

That being said, all the elements were solid: tasty crema (though I am generally not a fan of crema), fresh tortillas, and fresh fish. It was just…too much for each bite.

RATING: 3 out of 5 chickens
